Kevin and all,
On this forum I was introduced to a home made wax mix.
It's just bees wax, mineral spirits, and linseed oil
mixed in equal proportions. I have bought every kind
of rust preventive that I could find but this mix out
performs them all, even the most expensive!
I was advised not to use boiled linseed oil but it's
what I had and seems to work fine. The latest batch I
added more bees wax and like the consistency better. I
would add Carbola (how ever it's spelled) if I could
find a small amount.
Cheaper is sometimes better, Lynn
