mike- what about a devcon metal epoxy?
These are industrial epoxies that actually contain ground up metal.
They get hard, resist heat well, and can be machined after they set.
They are pricey, but less than $600.
I have used em before, and they stick well to most things.
Usually the metal bearing ones are the consistency of peanut butter, so
they are no picnic to apply.
They are available from places like grainger or MSC or Mcmaster Carr
here in the US.
Surely you have some similar mail order industrial supplier in Canada?

look under metal filled epoxies- what do you need? titanium? aluminum?
carbide? stainless? or plain old mild steel in several flavors?
