The Mark's Mechanical Engineer's Handbook is a great reference for lots
of info we metal manglers can use. Visit used book stores they are
usually available.
I have the one I bought in engineering school, and then I found a
1950's edition for $2 at a used book sale.
The old one had smithin' info along with combustability info.
The McGraw-Hill periodicals used to have offers to buy the handbook for
$14.95 if you join the Mechanical Engineer's bookclub, and by two books
over the next couple of years. It was easy to find a couple of their
closeout reference books to fulfill the obligation. Otherwise the book
is like $150!!
