In the case of Columbian terrorism a few good people are trying to put
their foot down - too few. The article you sited was reported because it
was the FARC. On the other hand 70% of the atrocities in Colombia are
blamed on the paramilitary's which derive the bulk of their funding from the
drug trade but see an ever increasing amount of US tax dollar support
funnled to them through the Colombian government in an effort to , ack ack,
end the drug trade.
Ah yes, another dirty truth ignored by the media and likely to continue no
matter who is in the whitehouse. Similar to the way we got to this point
with Israel. I'd argue that American's digging for the truth about American
foreign policies and doing something about the plainly evil ones would be a
very good way to resist terrorism. It's hard to make a credible affront to
terrorism when you've got your hands in it all over the world. It's hard to
just say "NOT" to a dirty nuke in an uninspected shipping container.
