I braze Stainless all the time, but I cheat- I use a tig welder. Of course,
since I have a tig welder, if I want a color match, I just tig weld it with
a stainless filler rod, so I use silicon bronze rod to braze stainless. One
of the great things about that is you can braze stainless to mild steel, or
bronze, with silicon bronze rod.
I never tried using a silver brazing rod with the tig, but there isnt really
any reason it wouldnt work- just dont use flux. You dont need it because the
tig sheilding gas does the same thing.
