I seriously doubt it.
2 Oceanographer friends of mine were on the USS Pueblo when she was hijacked
by the North Koreans. Capt. Bucher sent out an immediate distress message.
It took over 3 hours for the ship to be brought into N.Korea.
There were 3 US air bases with in easy striking distance of the ship.
Not one air craft was launched to come to her assistance.
Consequently, my friends and the Navy crew became VIP guests of the
N K version of the Hanoi Hilton for about a year.
