How many do you need? As a lot of people have said, if you just need a few,
make them yourself from copper pipe or end caps. If you are really going
into production, then there are a few places which will make them for you,
but I imagine we would be talking a minimum of at least 100 pieces.
When I used to do production candlesticks, I bought steel candlecups from a
couple of different places. These guys all are very old stamping houses,
with tons of dies dating back to before the second world war. They make
leaves, candle cups, rosettes, and all kinds of cool little stampings in
steel, but will make them in copper or brass to order.
JG Braun- www.jgbraun.com -misc ornamental iron part supplier- they buy
their stampings from someone else
Frank Morrow Co. -www.frankmorrow.com -rhode island stamping co.
Ludwig Industries- http://www.ludwigind.com/- brooklyn stamping co.
The other thing you could do, if this was an ongoing product, would be to
make a die for a hydraulic press, and press them yourself. But 1" deep x
7/8" diameter candlecups, which is the industry standard, would be pretty
hard to do in one push- they may use a progressive die, or they may just
have a really big punch press and humoungous tooling, when they make them
commercially.
