	This is similar to asbestos.  The particles are like barbed
	elements that embed themselves into the lung tissue and cannot
	be removed by the body's natural mechanisms.  That's why
	asbestos accumulates in the lungs.  Then there's the irritant
	aspect that apparently contributes to afflictions such as
	emphysema, asbestosis, and mesothelioma, all very nasty
	diseases.
