I had to poke around for points and stuff for the magneto on mine, ended up
at a marine supply! These were stationary engines used in welders,
compressors, big pumps, some boats and other odd mysterious places (Like
sawmills).
I would look for any engine information you can on the block. Check any
local equipment or marine dealer, then the internet, then old engine and
tool groups for leads. You might be able to find another one while you are
looking for parts, keep your eyes open for old stationary equipment and
some old trucks.
I think some of the old Reos used them in addition to Hercules. I've had
both Hercules and Continental engines on stuff and liked both. If you get
it running some have a tube from the exhaust to the intake to keep the
manifold from icing (My tube clogged up, so the governor wouldn't work. I
went to see why and I had a 6"snow ball around the intake)
Have fun ;-)
