	Well, if $300 will cover the cost of replacing it, then I might
	rent it.  Otherwise I would not.  You give him a good anvil, who
	knows what will come back.  I've seen people do incredible things
	to anvils and swage blocks.  For example, I once walked into the
	the shop at Allaire Village to find one of the yahoos had fixed
	work into one of the holes with an iron wedge.  He was working the
	steel COLD, with a 5# sledge in each hand, pounding for all he
	was worth.

	After choking down the reflexive impulse to commit and act of
	asshole-icide, I pointed out to him that he was running a real
	good dchance of splitting that block.  Though he protested to
	the contrary, he in fact stopped and I never saw him do it again.

	Unless you're willing to part with the anvil, I'd keep it at home.
	At the very least, take a $1000 deposit, refundable upon return of
	the tooling.  --
