Speaking of ABANA.. is it on our ABANA Web Page who won the Anvil ballot 
prize for the ABANA Board Election.  How many members took time and voted 
this year, compared to last?  Guess that I could take some time to page 
through the ABANA site myself. 

The UMBA videos that Roger Degner has done, earn an atta-boy from me. The 
sound component of noise the microphone picks up must be something akin to 
what a hearing aid does.  It picks up the voice, but also the sound of the 
forge blower and the clang of the hammer.   With my full attention, I think 
that watching the video, I see things that somehow I missed watching the 
live demonstration, and it is certainly a help on those conferences that I 
was unable to attend.   I have never rented an ABANA video to know about 
that quality, but I am looking forward to trying one of UMBA / Roger 
Degner's DVD format blacksmith videos.   By the way, when I am a little 
tired and sit down in front of the TV to watch an UMBA conference tape, I 
find the clang of the hammer  puts me to sleep better than the best child 
hood lullabye. <grins>
