About 4 months ago our local blacksmith organization spent all Saturday at Lincoln Electric in Houston being informed of what their various machines do, and then went in their shop and cranked them up for a test drive. Highly informative. Check with your nearest Lincoln dealer as they may be as helpful as these locals guys were to us.

I looked at and used the Lincoln 25. Sweet machine for the money, but if I recall correctly, it will only cut through 3/8" stock. That may limit you. Look at their heavier duty models for greater penetrating depths if so. They are a good company with great equipment. But I'm told you can find better deals than buying directly from a Lincoln sales rep. Apparently they don't have much dicker room as dealers do.
