Bruce,

I'd find this of interest.  Might make a nice repoussee/chasing hammer 
(Mark & Mindy Gardner so some on a classic Gade (ABANA) style TH.  I think 
a smaller version has it's uses and could even serve well in some tinsmithing.

Are you thinking of something along the Grasshopper design, or something 
totally unique?
