[TheForge] little giant die alignment

Sooo...just got my new upper die from Sudemeiers, and the wedge only goes
about halfway in.
Cleaned out the burrs from the hammer head with a file, not much
improvement.
Now, there's a lot of stuff that I could take a file to, and probably
eventually get it right, but would anyone like to suggest a sensible
approach? Seems my options are:
1) sand the wedge (no sander, but I can find one)
2) file the dovetail (sounds like a terrible idea)
3) grind the die (I don't like that one, either)

The lower die is also tilted a bit forward relative to the upper- does it
make sense to shim under it? I'm guessing that whatever I put under is going
to get squashed pretty quick, but what other approach is there?

Sure wish I had a step-by-step on this one...
