I have a small stand for my smith'n magician that I can also put the bottom
die from my treadle hammer in. I put the stand right next to the forge, put
the die in the fire for a while, when good and hot I'm ready to weld. When
we made the treadle hammer we just normalized the dies so I don't worry
about screwing up the temper on them.
