They seem to look similar to VHS at this speed. When there is over 400 hours of tape I would be copying forever and it seems that way now. Roger R Degner Are you actually getting decent looking video with it compressed to 5 hours on a disc? That must be artifacting in a big way. I would think VHS copies would be grainy enough to make you want a higher bitrate just to avoid the artifacting on screen.
