Pics would be good Ralph. Candid pics would be even better. Not as good as
dropping in for a surprise visit; ask a few "interesting" questions and all
but pics would be good. <grin>

A number of years ago, about the time the net was going public +/- I was
visiting friends and relatives in Everett and vicinity. Don't recall which
holiday it was but a friend hauled me to Ft. Nisquali during a living
history three day weekend. The smithy was up and running, three young
fellows busily banging away and a small crowd outside the door watching.

I watched and waited for a break to introduce myself and ask if I could join
the fun. Well, the young fellows were pretty obviously beginners and one of
them fairly jumped the barricade to take me to the office. I was expecting
to sign a release, maybe read some safety literature, listen to a talk,
something. After introducing myself to the lady in the office she said,
"Lose the watch and sun glasses, Bobby (not his name, it was probably 10
years ago and my memory isn't THAT good. <sigh>) take him over to wardrobe."
That was it, lose the watch, sunglasses and get garbed up.

WOO HOO! Play time!

It was a ball, I got to come back all three days and the wonderful thing
about garb is it lets you drop some inhibitions (the few I have) and really
entertain the spectators.

I wish we had a Ft. something or other around here so I could volunteer.
