Rick,
Recently had an email from Bruce Freeman who requested info on theforge
about Yellin ironwork. So I am back on the list after a time off to see
if I can help.
An interesting thing about the Yellin work in Philly--- it is all over
the place and the problem is finding it. And, much of it is private
residences and the basement museums and hard to gain access. If you go
to <http://www.bookmasters.com/skipjack/006.htm> you will find Henry
Magaziner's book, "The Golden Age of Ironwork," where he shows a number
of the major Yellin works. In the index, at this web site, you will
find a geographical listing all the works in the book. It will help you
locate the work.
I have a HyperCard Stack of the Yellin Job Cards, an incomplete shop
list of the Yellin work. It may be of help to some, but since it was
just used in the shop there is much incomplete info in this stack.
Good hunting,
Jack Andrews
