You mean those big ones that resemble screws? Like an axial screw
compressor, but looser, or the vane type that work radially?
Those things _are_ a cross between a fan and a compressor. Very similar,
only difference is in degree. :)

Oh yeah. I remember being on the way back to the hotel from a job in MA
during Hurricane Gloria. Almost didn't make it off the machines and into
the car and to the hotel. Blew the roof off the hotel across the street.
Saw it siting on half a dozen Fords, a Dodge, and a BMW. :)

I'll keep that in mind. Sunds like one of those things that have small
odds but large consequences if the odds don't go your way.:)
