In my post I said super saturated  and meant superheated.   If you think 
about it Andy the answer will be obvious to you.  Hydraulic fluid is 
essentially a linkage mechanism.  Steam on the other hand,  is used as a 
way to convert heat into mechanical energy, so the expansion factor is 
the whole point of it ( unless you are just using it for cleaning).   
The conversation turns to steam and I got to wonder where our 
submariners went?
