Well, by all means get in touch with the Florida group.  Check the
ABANA.org page for affiliates listing.  I expect that after banishing
them as a CHAPTER to the everglades, ABANA readmitted them as an
affiliat.  If not, check anvilfire.com for the ABANA "chapter" pages and
look there.  

The sooner you get in touch with folks who know even a little more
about smithing than you do, the sooner you'll be learning.
