Navy equipment gets hard use. I just bought a Navy issue
Canon F-1N (camera) for the daughter. Works perfectly
but looks like it's been through world war eight. Speaking
of which, if anyone knows where I can get a Speed Finder
for one of these cameras at a decent price, I'm in a buyin'
	mood.

Possible fix: go to MSC (or equivalent) and buy a length
of, say 1.5" acme screw stock and a pair of nuts (no
comments fromt he peanut gallery). Cut the old screw from
the ball end, and weld it to new screw. Orient the two
nuts on the screw such that you get a nice, low-backlash
fit and tack them together. Remove and weld those suckers
up right and voila! new screw and nut == new vise, more
	or less.
