I just got a screw press !=20
I have been looking for one for quite a while (for cheap ) and I found =
one on e-bay its an Adams brothers 2-a=20
I've looked at lots of  information about making tooling on the internet =
and yesterday I made my tool holder that fits into the ram or business =
end of the machine
this press has a 1" hole into the machine and my tool holder has a 5/8 =
hole to receive tools.
 have a few questions.
When designing tools should I be in the middle of the travel of the =
press or the bottom?it seems that if im in the middle I will have to =
have a thick plate at the bottom under the material I am working=20
also there is on the stand at the bottom on both sides some kind of =
bracket cast into the stand  any ideas what this is for?
Any other tips will be greatly appreciated! especially if they are =
cheap.
