There's not much you can do about the fluid nature of people's
conversations; they mutate and the subject line doesn't keep up.
The risk in filtering a subject is the conversation may drift back into
interesting territory. What I do when a thread has drifted too far from my
interest is sort by "Subject" and delete enmasse.
It's kind of like posters who don't edit the message they're responding to;
sixteen responses to the original post and at the bottom of it all . . .
"Yeah, right on!"
