That looks great, but what if you only drive a Dodge?
Seriously, you can make tools out of almost anything, and you can do a
lot with the most primitive tools. I have a friend who is terminally
cheap, and he can make the most amazing stuff using almost no tools at
all. He gets all his supplies either out of dumpsters or at the
goodwill. A while ago, he was building a small airplane from a hang
glider he got at the goodwill, and a lawn mower and exercise machine he
got from the curb on garbage day. He was turning his own wooden
propellers from pallets. And his whole shop has maybe $500 worth of
tools in it.
In my own case though, its a case of continually reminding myself to
look at the donut, not the hole. I try my best to focus on what it is I
really want to do- to make things out of metal. And if I have high
quality, reliable tools that work every time when you turn em on, I can
do more of what I really want. Of course, I am full time, hopefully
money making, and able to make the jobs buy me tools. So I aint giving
up my miller syncrowave for an alternator anytime soon. But it looks
like it works.
