That might work for this particular application. In larger, and more critical machines i would go for the real thing.
The antimony (Sb), and bismuth( Bi ), actually expand when cooled, thus assuring a snug fit-up
and longevity of the babbitting. #11 babbitt would be used in most light duty conditions.
I done learned that in school this seemester!
