That depends on where you're using it.

It's pretty common in soils stabilization say for that dusty old road. Being
anhydrous it draws moisture from the air and keeps the road damp. How damp
depends on how much and what kind of soil.

The down side is calcium chloride is pretty corrosive.  If you were to use
it to stabilize a shop floor it'll rust out any steel pretty fast, nothing
compared to what it'll do to aluminum though.
