[TheForge] virus

Dave:

Could you provide more detail? I use a fully updated Symantec suite
(anti-virus program, personal firewall, etc.) but I know even Norton can't
catch everything. I recently had problems with W32/Ganda.A@mm and New Win32.
What bugs have been hitting TheForge?

Also, I've used Symantec products for what must be fifteen years or so,
since the days when there was nothing else in Norton's league. Recently
though, McAfee has identified problems with files Norton considered clean.
Anyone else have similar experience? Is it that McAfee cries wolf and the
threat isn't real, or is Norton simply missing things? If there's a clear
advantage to one anti-virus over another, I'd like to know.

Thanks,
Dan
