Bob:
I purchased 4 -1 oz. KrugerRands from a gold dealer in a Houston suburb. He had a 250 feedback rating at the time. His completed auctions were all ruse to get a bunch of sales during December. He did just that. The police investigated and found he split, taking with him about $130k. It was especially galling in that I found out he was an Arab and, of course, thoughts ran through my head that he was helping fund Al Qaeda and the killing of Americans around the world. Sheesh. The FBI finally participated with the local police but have not released any of their findings to the victims. Our only hope is that he will come through US Customs some day with his passport, as he is a marked man.
