I strongly suggest Ad-Aware. I've been using it for quite a while, and I'm
very happy with it.
It's free, and it will clean all that garbage out of your machine. You can
also make your own decisions about what you want to keep, and what you want
to pitc, if there's some program or another that IS spyware, but you're
willing to put up with it.
