I've purchased one of the Saltfork Craftsmen swage blocks and it came with
instructions to build the stand that was described.  It is a pretty slick
design.
I would be glad to scan the plan and send it to whomever is interested.

I've seen one somewhere.  Slick.  Required lifting the block out of a
slot and laying it flat (or vice versa).  Good place to permamnently
install a little 1/2 ton chainfall.  I mean to build one but it's way
down on the list.  (I suppose it will rise to the top if/when my swage
block falls off its temporary perch onto $BODY_PART. :-)
