[TheForge] elbow

The doctor advice is great, but that doesn't always work either. I had the
elbow problem a few years ago. I saw the athletic doctor (We have a huge
clinic of 750 doctors with a huge rehab and physical therapy department).
They put me through treatments heat, cold, electric, steroids, exercise,
everything for months. Nothing seemed to work.

One day I saw an infomercial on a small "Stimulator" guaranteed to cure all
aches and pains of any nature. Now these are laughable crocks, except that
Evil Kenevil gave a testimonial about breaking every bone in his body and
living in a stupor on pain killers for years until he got the "Stimulator"
and then all pain left was gone. Now I knew Evil would not lie on TV so I
decided to try it.

Since I am to tight to pay the TV price I made one. After using it for 3
days all the pain was gone and for the first time in a year I could hammer
again. I, and many others have found it to be very effective. You can buy
them at the mall, infomercials etc. for about $80. BUT, you can make it
yourself. You just get the replacement igniter kit for those gas grills.
Should cost about $8 bucks at Wall Mart or such place.

There are two brands that I have seen. One has a pressed steel nut to screw
onto the device's barrel. The other has a spring steel clip that slides over
some plastic gizmos on the barrel. Get the nut kind if possible because it
is easier. If you can't get the nut type just cut off the plastic clip
things from the barrel and slide a washer over the barrel up to the base
end. Whether you use the nut or the washer you must then wrap some vinyl
electrical tape around the barrel to cover the ground wire running up the
side of the barrel so it doesn't arc to your fingers.

That is all it takes. The just start shooting up in the pain area several
times a day. No shock sensation, just a little snap.

I talked to several doctors informally who are friends, clients, etc. and
they agree that for some people these work. They think it is some sort of
signal blocker. They use acupuncture effectively at the clinic even adding
low voltage electricity to the needles to get better effect so this little
pieso electric thing isn't so far out after all. For some it gives great
relief (cheaply).
