[TheForge] lighting

Roger,

I just got back from the BAM spring conference so excuse the late response.

One option that I didn't see. You could do the metal part of the fixture and
then let a local electrition or lighting supply shop do the wireing. Your
work would then fall under their certification. I have not done any
lighting fixtures so this is all speculation.

BTW the conference went well. It was a little on the cool side and Sunday it
rained. I enjoyed watching George Dixon work, but doubt there are any
clients in our area that would pay for the level of detail that he demands.
I'm going to make some test pieces, I'm sure it will help sell the level of
work they are willing to pay for. And who knows, I may find some deep
pockets dying to invest in iron art.

Hello all,

For those of you who sometimes build lighting________I assume there are
those of you who have UL approved shops, those of you who take your
fixtures to a UL approved shop for certification, and those of you who
ignore the whole UL thing all together.
