[TheForge] Nickel rod question

Jeff:  With nickel rods and cast iron, the choice depends on whether you
need to machine the end product.  Some rods allow this, some do not.
Preheating to a low red color is advised in some cases.  If the weld holds,
you likely did okay.   When in doubt, consult the manufacturer's data for
the weld in question.
