Over the years, the subject of casting anvils has come up on the list more
than once. Each time, the trouble the professionals have had getting the
alloy and process right has, shall we say, muffled the enthusiasm.

Is spent uranium any/much harder than lead? I understand it's used in tank
killers because of it's mass. A titanium anvil would be pretty cool. I
wonder how it'd sound? We could really have some fun with a tungsten anvil,
an itty bitty anvil would be WAY heavy so the old, "you can have it if you
can carry it," would get some surprised takers. Maybe we could work out a
deal with local chiropractors. <grin>
