I was browsing the Bimba catalog (stainless,not rebuildable air cylinders) a few days ago and came across this.

"Bimba cylinders have been designed and tested for a rated life of 1400 miles of travel when properly applied and lubricated per recommendations. Bimba's option E has been designed and tested for a rated life of 2800 miles of travel when properly applied in an unlubricated environment."
