[TheForge] Treadle Hammers

If you are in a one person shop and don't have some one to do striking work - hold the hot stock in one hand hold the tool in the second hand and the sledge hammer in your third and forth hands.  Personaly I only have two hands and use a treadle hammer any time I wish I had a striker.  I even use it when there are two of us working in the shop so as not to take time away from the second smiths work.  I built the head on mine to lite, make or buy a good one with a heavy head.  I really can't imagine a small shop without one.

Seems like most people buy them
and dont end up using them much...
