Hey Guys,
Any of you have personal experience with a FAMCO style kick press? I
believe I might have mentioned them before.
I bought a 3 ton unit and regret to admit that I have yet to build the
tooling to use it. It looks a lot like the framework of the smaller fly
presses, only it has a huge cam operated foot pedal which drives the
ram.
My thought in buying it would be to be able to hold the work in place
and use the foot pedal for very fine control during the pressing
operation.
PS The kick press did not cost much on ebay.
