I think it might to be to your advantage
to differentiate between fly and screw
presses. A screw press is a one shot
down and then manually bring it up for
another try. In a fly press the flywheel
actually screws the ram back up along a
reverse thread and then returns it down
when it reaches the top. As long as the
flywheel is turning the ram keeps
pumping.
