I can't tell you anything about the attachment, but the address is a 
current subscriber to theforge.  It appears to be an address associated 
with MIT's alumni.  It's a .txt file attached and I would GUESS that if you 
opened it with notepad or wordpad it would be safe.  I don't think either 
of these Windows utilities will execute any hidden viruses.  But maybe 
you'd better stay safe and reply to [email protected] to see if he sent you 
something and what it is first.  If you find it's a spoofed address then 
trash the file.  Better safe than sorry.
