Don't follow what you mean by the scrolls going outward.  The beginning
of each scroll till it meets the other is intended to form a heart
shape. Had to give up the heart on the bottom for stability.  Can you
post a sketch of your idea?

Looks good,        you might want to try one with all the scrolls going 
the other direction, so they are going outward instead of inward.
