Dear Blacksmith,

We are holding our 11th annual Forge Fest at the Plantation Agriculture
Museum on Saturday, March 22nd, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Scott is located just below Little Rock, Arkansas on HWY 165 Right off
Interstate 440. We are searching for volunteer blacksmiths who would
like to share their talents and skills with the public. Any blacksmith
is invited to participate, just bring your forge and tools. We are
trying to expand this event it was called Blacksmith Day. This annual
event goes long with our themes of our museum and brings out the
important of Blacksmith in the rural areas and in agriculture. =20

This is an excellent opportunity to teach the public about the art of
blacksmithing and to network with other blacksmiths. If you plan to join
the demonstrations you will need to bring your own forge, tools and
fuel. We do have a limited amount of coal available if you need it. We
welcome smiths with all skill ranges. Even if you can not forge, be
sure and attend our Forge Fest as a visitor.

During breaks in the demonstrations young visitors will be able to play
a variety of traditional games like marbles, stilts and horseshoes. All
visitors will be able to watch the demonstrations, play games and tour
the museum, which interprets Arkansas cotton agriculture and plantation
life from Statehood in 1836 to World War II. =20

Food is available at several locations near the museum and we will have
some light refreshments for you. We also have a small refrigerator and
microwave oven if you wish to bring your own food. We will allow sales
as a further incentive to you and to help this event grow but we ask
that you keep it low key.

If you can not attend we welcome any suggestion that would improve our
event. Also if you what to be on our mailing list just let me know.
And if you could post this event or help me find web site to post our
event I would appreciate it. =20

If you plan to demonstrate or have any questions or special needs,
please contact me at (501) 961-1409 or [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you on March 22nd, 2003. You are invited to
participate and we would greatly appreciate your. =20
