Hi All
Stay Brite is a soft solder that is more correctly called a silver bearing
solder rather than a "silver solder". It is used in the plumbing industry as
a replacement for 95-5 soft "soft" solder. The silver gives it flow and fill
characteristics that are reminiscent of 50-50 tin lead solder. It's great
stuff but it's uses and strengths are very similar to other soft soldering
materials and it is not a substitute for brazing if you expect the same
mechanical properties from the joint.
