hello;

the news is that they have research which backs their desired data
so they can now use it to ban cigarettes, coal, etc. the government
and others will now use this "new" research to further their own
agendas. it will be hyped by anti-<fill-in-the-blank> groups
and the news media as a "new" cause celeb.

we are all dying. some just faster than others. if old age does
not get us, as you said, something else will.

no one gets out of this life alive.
