You missed the point I was making. Now, I'm violating my own rule. So I'm
dropping it.
It's just not a big enough deal to get worked up about.
Rob
PS
Mark Pearce does do the best forge welding I've ever seen. I enjoyed all the
demonstrators.

with my simple request of asking you to inform readers your post is off
topic. I was under the impression this forum was about blacksmithing, not a
chat room.

experience was reciting to the world what you had for lunch and that there
was weather, then you missed a fine demonstration by Mark Pearce. It is rare
a classically trained smith comes to the U.S. to do a demo. That is worth
talking about and sharing. Yes, I am writing about it and it will be on my
ABANA chapter's web page this week.

unrelated to blacksmithing, then let other readers know. Your post, Phlip,
never mentions techniques, tools, material, design. Just why would the forum
be interested in everyone elses weekend excursions? Just because you mention
the word blacksmith, doesn't mean everyone wants to read your post if it
offers nothing related to the craft or skill.

would be glad to read your postings, as they are literate. I just want them
to be related to smithing.
