I like "The Blacksmith Craft"  for beginners.  It takes you through a series
of lessions of increasing difficulty.  I think it was designed for a shop
class, back when they did real stuff in school.  I got mine from Norm Larson
several years ago, I think that it is still in print.

BTW:  We have 5 angle grinders, 4- 4.5" and 1- 7".  We had only one for
several years but it was a pain to keep changing them over.

We also have a chop saw and a horz band saw.  But we almost never use the
band saw because it tracks so bad the blades won't stay on.
