[TheForge] BS within BS

Gabriel I never said swearing had any bearing on intelligence, you have me mixed up with another post. I brokered in a commodities pit and I've known plenty of very intelligent, successful chaps who swore constantly, and quite creatively. It can be amusing. But just because one can, doesn't mean one should, or that it adds to the
conversation. In the past, and again recently, several members of this forum have requested postings not contain profanity. They have every right to expect this to be a congenial forum. Why not approach this forum like your Mom or Grandmother was reading every post? There is a time a place for most activities. In every situation it is smart to shoot high. Anyone can shoot low.
I still believe strongly the old adage, "Listen to every fool on his favorite subject and you'll come away a wiser man." I want to read every posting that relates to smithing. Just because someone is profane or ignorant of the Pythagorean theorem doesn't mean that they are not worth hearing on blacksmithing issues.
And Gabriel, I learned long ago in college there are many people very much to my advantage to learn from in an academic environment, but I would not care to socialize with them. I'm here to learn from the collective experience of this forum and I'm willing to wade through all the other to do so.
