differently than men do .. a woman has much more
personal feelings. The home is more like a living
family member."

Geez! I never thought I could learn anything from a
feller! ;-) Yer right! When I wanted to put in a
doggie door, I fretted about it for days - I knew what
to do but cutting a hole in the wall was such a
traumatic idea!

Philip said "In a project like that, it is often
necessary to clean up as we go along"

That's not "gender based" - that's how you grew up! My
father was a licenced mechanic and I spent a LOT of
time helping him. Each job was a number of "phases"
and after each part of the job, the tools that were
used got cleaned and put away.

A few years ago, I was rebuilding a 1958 Oliver
crawler and hung out for awhile on a "dozer discussion
board". Since "women don't rebuild bulldozers" there
was some speculation as to my gender until one of the
fellows pointed out to the others the background in
the pictures on my Web page, pictures of the rebuild
project - "Look at that shop!" he said, "Have you EVER
seen a shop that clean and tidy??!! It HAS to be a
woman!" :D ;-)

Calamity (waiting for the heat to break so I can fire
up the forge) Jane
