I agree totally, don't try to PUSH it out, you may just mushroom it further,
I personally wouldn't worry about heating the barrel, that'll just make
everything harder to deal with...  just bore thin the stuck part, leave a
good "handle" sticking out, weld on an "eye" or something, and pull that
sucker back out.

Calamity Dear, we have all been down this road a time or two... and have the
scars to prove it   :-)
