Paddy:  Your anvil numbers refer to the weight of the anvil in
hundredweights, quarters of hundredweights and pounds.  A hundred weight is
112 pounds, So: the first number is  3x112, or 336 pounds. The second number
is two quarters of a hundred weight, or 56 pounds.  The last number is 9
pounds.  The total weight is 403 pounds.
